The New Metal Gear Game?

Kojima Production the maker of Metal Gear game series, and Konami release a teaser website hinted the next game they are making. It's maybe the next Metal Gear game. The fact that series creator Hideo Kojima himself hinted at a "Next MGS" in the final slide of his 2009 Game Developers Conference Presentation. The teaser site revealed a countdown clock ending at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26--the day after the Memorial Day holiday weekend in the US.

Given that the teaser site bore the fox logo of Kojima Productions and what looked like the number "5," speculation that a Metal Gear Solid 5 announcement was imminent went through the roof. The site teasing the letter "E" and the number "3" after lightning strikes, raising suspicions that Konami will make an announcement at the June 2-4 Electronic Entertainment Expo. On Thursday, the publisher announced that its own E3 press conference will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday June 3. The site is also flashing the letter "S" and the number "5," sustaining speculation of an MGS5 reveal, as well as the number "9" and a lowercase "e"--which could also be the Japanese character for "snake"

There's also a rumor that they are porting the top rated Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriot to Xbox 360 console. The title are rumor to be Metal Gear Solid 4 + Oxide. Whatever it is, we have to wait until they reveal it at E3 this coming June.

Check back to my blog, as i will update the latest news from E3, the gaming industries biggest event of the year.

Review: Star Trek

Today (7/5/2009), is the 3rd day of my 2 month holiday. Its kinda bored staying at home playing games and surfing the net. So i invited 2 of my friend to go out and watch a movie. We watched the movie Star Trek. Im not very familiar with the Star Trek universe. But i remembered watching them back there when i was a little kid. So, here's the review of the film.

Starring John Cho, Ben Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Winona Ryder, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Eric Bana, and Leonard Nimoy.

The greatest adventure of all time begins with Star Trek, the incredible story of a young crew's maiden voyage onboard the most advanced starship ever created: the U.S.S. Enterprise. On a journey filled with action, comedy and cosmic peril, the new recruits must find a way to stop an evil being whose mission of vengeance threatens all of mankind. The fate of the galaxy rests in the hands of bitter rivals. One, James T. Kirk, is a delinquent, thrill-seeking Iowa farm boy. The other, Spock, was raised in a logic-based society that rejects all emotion. As fiery instinct clashes with calm reason, their unlikely but powerful partnership is the only thing capable of leading their crew through unimaginable danger, boldly going where no one has gone before! (Paramount)

The new Star Trek movie is amazing- and a veritable feast of sight and sound: A captivating adventure that grabs you from the first and doesn't let go. The effects are staggering, finally what the stories have deserved so richly. There are enough huge fireballs, shattering explosions and exciting fights to go around. The movie's first 5-10 minutes are of note I feel: This sequence is brilliant and had me immediately on the edge of my seat.

The movie follows the story of the initial meeting of the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, twisting and turning from its original path thanks to a plot of revenge by the 24th century Romulan Captain Nero.

All the adventure is balanced, however, by dead on work by the actors and a generous focus of the story on the characters themselves. All of the main crew get a nice picture of who they are.

As great as they are though, the weight of these stories has always been on Kirk and Spock. All the actors come up aces. Chris Pine radiates star quality as Kirk, the bad boy who morphs into captain material without curbing his swagger or his yen for zaftig green babes from Orion. And major props to Zachary Quinto as Spock for never letting the pointy ears act for him. His sharp, intuitive performance as the logic-led Vulcan fighting the emotions instilled by his human mother gives the film a soul. Just watch the way he delivers Spock's signature line, "Live long and prosper," like a massive screw-you salute to the Vulcan Establishment! In Quinto's hands, Mr. Spock is Mr. Cool.

Starfleet stripes are hereby awarded to Bruce Greenwood as Captain Pike, Karl Urban as medical officer Bones, Anton Yelchin as the smartass prodigy Chekov, John Cho as helmsman Sulu and Zoe Saldana as communications officer Uhura. The scene-stealer award is a tie between Simon Pegg, flat-out hilarious as the engineer Scotty, and Eric Bana, who makes Nero, the Romulan villain, one hell of a twisted dudester. As for the appearance of original Spock Nimoy.

Overall- The runtime flies by with very few lulls in the pacing, reinvigorating characters and a universe. More than anything else, the movie just feels so much more fun than any previous entry. There's more humor, more thrills, far more energy and a much better movie here than its previous entry. This is a fantastic movie it's own right, one I would definitely recommend to Trekkie and new fan alike.

I gave this movie 4 stars out of 5.

This event is to give an exposure to the Networking Academy students. It is also an opportunity for students to show their technical skills and knowledge in the networking field and serves. This event are held annually.

There are about 200 participant that came from other Universities all over Malaysia. Among them are representative from Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), Multimedia University (MMU), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Kolej Professional MARA (KPM), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Universti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and other Universities that have a networking oriented curricular. The participant

I was suppose to be the representative of Universiti Kuala Lumpur. But there are some technical problems that cannot be avoided, I volunteered myself to be the event committee along with my other 4 friends. So the only student committee for the event are Miss Hamidah, Mr Umar, Mr Hafizi, Mr Hirzi(me), and Miss Ayusnida. We have been working hard since the day before to make sure the event run smoothly.

Me(Hirzi)

The day before the main event, at 4 pm, we (me, Mr. Hafizi and Mr. Umar) were asked to paste the signage around campus to guide the participant to their respective match area and install the Packet Tracer software in the computer lab Level 19 and Level 9. To make haste, we split into two groups. Me and Mr. Hafizi are responsible for pasting the signage and Mr Umar are responsible for installing the Packet Tracer software. Me and Mr. Hafizi complete pasting all the signage then went to Level 19, and Level 9 to help Mr. Umar completing his work. We all went home at 8 pm.

Mr Hafizi and Mr Umar

On the day of the main event, I arrived at campus at 8.30 am. Mr. Umar and Mr. Hafizi were already there helping arranging the registration counter. Then, Mr Ezra (the lecture who was in charge) told us to have our breakfast at Level 29. After breakfast, we return to the lobby and saw Miss Ayusnida just arrived. While waiting for the registration process to complete, we were given the Netriders Challenge Malaysia 2009 t-shirt. We went to Level 4 to get changed. Then Mr. Ahmad(the lecture who was in charge) told us to go to Level 19, 16 and 9 to turn on the lights and the computers. But the prizes on Level 2 also need a person to taken care of. So we split into 4 groups. Me and Miss Ayusnida went to Level 19, Mr. Umar to Level 16, Mr. Hafizi to Level 9, and Miss Hamidah took care of the prizes.

Miss Hamidah and Mr Hafizi

Upon arriving at Level 19, me and Miss Ayusnida are facing some problem. All the computer labs are locked. We cannot switch on the computers. I called Mr. Umar and have him to asked Mr Ezra to do something about the doors. Not long after that, Mr Hafiz(the lecturer and technician in charge) coincidentally arrived at the floor. I asked him what to do. He was shocked because the door shouldn't be locked. We don't have must time, the clock shows us 9.45 am. The floor will be used in the next 15 minutes. He call Mr. Ezra and ran down to get the keys. After a while, he return with the keys. Thank God he found the keys. Me and Miss Ayusnida proceed our task.

At 10.00 am, all the participant arrived at the floor to begin their match. But there are some problems. The computer are not sufficient, some of them got a computer that dont have a network connection, and some who cannot log on to the site. Me and Miss Ayusnida directed the participant who didn't have a computer or got a computer without a network connection, to Level 16 computer lab. While those who cannot log on are handled by Mr. Ahmad. After everything was settled, we all went to Level 29 along with Mr Ahmad to have some drinks. Then disaster strike. All the exams which the participant are answering, expired. Mr Ahmad misconfigured the server. Then Mr Ahmad went to fix the problem. The exam was extended by 1 hour.

The exam finished at 12.00 pm. All the participant supposed to listen to a speech by the Cisco Networking Academy staff at Level 2. But since the exam was extended by 1 hour, the speech was postponed and will be deliver during the closing ceremony. We were given order to redirect the participant to the dining area to have their lunch. The winners for the theory exam are revealed. Only few teams made it to the final round. 1 of the UniKL team are amongst them. Those who didn't made it will proceed to Packet Tracer event.

There are a few problem on the Packet Tracer event, but we manage to fix the problem by ourselves. There not much things to do, so we went back to lobby and have a break. UniKL also hosting its Open Day on the same day as the Cisco event. We wander around the booth and have look at what they have prepared on their booth while waiting for the closing ceremony scheduled to begin at 3.30 pm.

Its pretty tiring but I enjoyed it. It was fun. Its an experience I wont forget. The other committee members are wonderful, responsible and hard working people. It makes the works and problems easier to solves. I would like to express my gratitude to all the committee members. Mr. Umar and Mr. Hafizi, thank you for the hard work, and you guys are the best. Miss Hamidah, even though we just known each other today, but we work like we already known for a long time. Thank you so much. Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen Trailer

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is an upcoming science fiction film due for release on June 26, 2009. It is the sequel to 2007's Transformers, which was the first live action Transformers film. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg return respectively as director and executive producer, while Shia LaBeouf reprises the role of Sam Witwicky, the human caught in the war between Autobots and Decepticons.

Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) discovers something about the origins of the Transformers and their history on Earth. The evil Decepticons need to capture him for information. The climactic battle takes place at the Giza pyramid complex, where a temple is located within. Lorenzo di Bonaventura explained the film will show the Transformers who visited Egypt before the pyramids were built, and "all our heroes end up here because of the Decepticons' masterplan." Furthermore, Egyptian hieroglyphs resembling helicopters and other present day vehicles in real life will be explained in the film as being depictions of those Ancient Cybertronians who visited Earth.

This short movie trailer of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen is damn awesome!

I can barely wait for the movie by now!

MSN-06S Sinanju

Last Sunday (01/02/2009), i went to the Times Square with my girlfriend. I was searching for this new Mobile Suit Gunpla that have been attracting my attention ever since i saw it.

There are 3 main hobby store in Times Square. The XL Shop and i've forgot the name of the other 2 store. First we went to the XL Shop. There were none there. Then we went to the other shop which is located in front of the bowling alley. There are many there. But its quite pricy, RM 350 each. I've saw once that it was sold at RM 280 at Low Yat Plaza. But since i was with my girlfriend, and she was carrying her stuff, i have no heart to walk to Low Yat Plaza.

Then we went to the last hobby store in Times Square which is located at level 5th if im not mistaken. Target found! There were only 1 box left and it was sold at RM 280! Cheaper than the shop below. I ask my girlfriend should i grab 1. She said i should since its cheaper than the shop below, and there's only 1 box left.

I've desired for it in such a long time, i grab the box, pay the RM 280, and walk away with a smile. I ask my girlfriend dont she think im kinda weird to collect such stuff. She replied to me with a smile and she said no, she dont think im weird because her big brother also collecting this kinda stuff but only if its related with Naruto. Well, im glad. Im also glad to have such an understanding girlfriend as her. =)

Well, this is it. The Mobile Suit i've always wanted, MSN-06S Sinanju. It took me 3 days to complete assembling it. There this feeling of satisfaction when u assembling it on your own rather than buying a Gunpla that already been assembled.

Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn (機動戦士ガンダムUC(ユニコーン), Kidō Senshi Gandamu Yunikōn?) is a serial novel by popular Japanese author Harutoshi Fukui (Shusen no Lorelei, Bôkoku no îgisu). The novel takes place in Gundam's Universal Century timeline. Character and mechanical designs will be provided by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko and Hajime Katoki, respectively.

The novel begins in UC 0001, at the very beginning of human space colonization, and is said to cover an as yet unspecified major event that influences the course of human history forever. The main story takes place in UC 0096, three years after the events of Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack.

MSN-06S Sinanju

Unit type: prototype Newtype use mobile suit
Overall height: 22.6 meters
Base weight: 25.2 metric tons
Power generator output: 3240 kW
Maximum thrust: 128600 kg
Sensor radius: 23600 meters
Armor: gundarium alloy
Armament: beam rifle x 1
Pilot: Full Frontal
Mechanical designer: Hajime Katoki

Personal machine of Full Frontal, it strongly resembles the late Char Aznable's MSN-04 Sazabi. Developed by Anaheim Electronics, it equips a psycoframe and served as a testbed for the NT-D System. The resulting data was used by Anaheim to complete the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam, and the Sinanju was subsequently stolen by Neo-Zeon in UC 0094.

Actually, the person in front of the Mobile Suit is not Full Frontal, its Char Aznable. Since Full Frontal was described to resembles Char, i decided to put Char in front of it as Full Frontal.

Full Frontal
Age: Unknown

The mysterious leader of the Neo-Zeon remnant forces who is described as the "2nd coming of Char". Like Char Aznable, he is a blonde man whose face is hidden behind a mask, and he wears a red uniform and pilots a red mobile suit. Similar to Char, he holds the Neo-Zeon remnants together with his high charisma. Whether the name is an alias is unspecified. On the contrary, his name holds the meaning of "stark naked"(or fully exposed) although it could easily be reference to a full frontal assault.

He plays around Barnarge and the others with his puzzling speech and behaviour. He is fighting against the Earth Federation for "the secret" of the foundation of the Universal Century. His face and tone closely resemble Char's. Nahel Argama's captain Otto, who watched Char's archived recordings, remarked that the voice is just like it.
