The Twin Towers Tour

Me and company were having a small trip to the glorious Petronas Twin Towers. The Petronas Twin Towers (also known as the Petronas Towers or Twin Towers), in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia were the world's tallest buildings, before being surpassed by the Taipei 101. However, the towers are still the tallest twin buildings and office building in the world. We are going for the tour to the Skybridge which the bridge that located in between the two towers. We Malaysian so we must visit Malaysia.

The company including me, Mr Umar-Z, Mr Azwan, Mr Hafizi, Mr Asyraf, Ms Yusra, Ms Syakila, Ms Hana, and Ms Izyan. The boys were the first to arrived. While waiting for the girls to arrive, we walked around the Suria KLCC Shopping Centre.

The time was around 1pm. We were worried if the girls couldn't make it in time as the tour were scheduled at 2pm. We call up the girls, Mr Azwan were calling Ms Syakila and I was calling Ms Hana. They said their were on their way. So we kept on waiting for them.

After a short while, we got a phone call from them saying that they has arrived and was waiting for us at the KLCC Fitness Center. We go inside, and looked for the place they mentioned earlier. We couldn't find the place so we kept on calling them (to kept them annoyed) asking for their location. Then we saw Ms Yusra near the counter for the Skybridge tour. She was there alone. We wondered where the rest of the girls. Then Ms Hana called me and asked for our location. I was right under her nose but she kept asking me the location (eye sight problem). Ms Izyan also already arrived at the location. The company's now complete. Ms Yusra distribute the tickets to us.

Before going up to the Skybridge, they gave us a visitor pass, and show us a video about Petronas. There were many tourist from different country joined the tour. Noted some China Chinese, India Indians, American, British. I felt very proud to show them our glorious pride and amazed them. This showed them that this country is a developed country same as theirs. Then we had to went through a security check up. They going to scan our belongings and our body. This kinda like the security check in the airport.

The bridge is 170m above the ground and 58 m long, weighing 750 tons. The same floor is also known as the podium, since visitors desiring to go to higher levels have to change elevators here. The skybridge is open to all visitors, but free passes (limited to 1700 people per day) must be obtained on a first-come, first-served basis. The Skyway is closed on Mondays. Visitors are only allowed on the 41st floor as the 42nd floor can only be used by the tenants of the building. The skybridge also acts as a safety device, so that in the event of a fire or other emergency in one tower, tenants can evacuate by crossing the skybridge to the other tower. Then, we were directed to the lift that going to take us up. The lift they were using is a super fast lift. It took only 41 second to reach the 41st floor. All the foreign tourists were amazed... including us.

The view from the Skybridge was fascinating. All of Kuala Lumpur area can be seen. We were given only 10 minutes to enjoy the scenery and take pictures.

10 minutes had passed, the tour guide called us to returned to the lift. It was a fascinating experience to stand between the once tallest tower in the world and the pride of our nation. Before we go down, Mr Umar-Z still have the time to flirt with the security officer... What had become of him...

Once we reach the lower level, we thanked the tour guide for the experience and he directed us to the Twin Tower Gallery. In the gallery, there were many information regarding the Twin Towers building. A model on hows the Skybridge react to pressure, a video about the Twin Towers, a simulator on how each tower in the world sway, a height count machine which compare your height with the tall towers in the world, and the most interesting exibition is the Tesla Coil simulator. It simulate a lighting effect to the Twin Towers.

Then, we went to the food court to have our lunch. After that we went to the TGV to watch a movie. The girls already on the queue line, but the movie to watch haven't been decided yet. So there's a little quarreling on which movie to choose. There were not many interesting film to watch. Somebody suggested on Max Payne, Disaster Movie, A Flight of Living Dead, and Fury. In the end, we choose Disaster Movie and it was a disaster. Later i will review on the film. The movie ended round 7 pm. We called it for the day, and return home.
